Apple Addresses iPhone Upgrade Program Woes

Joe Rossignol for MacRumors:

Over the weekend, Apple updated its upgrade reservation page with fine print that recommends customers call its support team at 1-800-MY-APPLE and mention the iPhone Upgrade Program. By doing so, the company said a Specialist will help customers find the iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus model they want.

I’m among the many who are struggling to track down an iPhone 7 Plus through the iPhone Upgrade Program. It’s frustrating to be one of Apple’s more loyal customers and be stuck waiting for the iPhone model I prefer.

However, I’m happy to see Apple continuing its trend of acknowledging issues and making efforts to fix them. I called 1-800-MY-APPLE last night and was told I would receive a phone call within 48 hours with an update of whether one of the black iPhone 7 Plus models I’m after is available.

I’m still frustrated by the supply constraints, but happy to see Apple making an effort to help its more loyal customers.
